About this event
Wednesday, December 11th | 9:00am to 10:30am
UCONN Professor of Political Science & President Emeritus, Susan Herbst will lead a discussion about the 2024 elections – the campaigns, the candidates, and the aftermath. She will start by explaining how political scientists and campaign experts view the election, and this will help to kick off a broader conversation about what it all means.
There are so many questions: How should we think about the election, in historical context? Does President Trump have a “mandate”, and if so, what exactly does that entail? What best explains the election outcome, and what are scholars of democracy and public opinion evaluating most closely? Please come with your thoughts, questions, and ideas.
