About this event

Friday, October 25th | 1pm - VIA ZOOM

Guest Speaker: Chagai M. Weiss, Postdoctoral Fellow, Stanford University, Polarization and Social Change Lab

Event Sponsor: National Institute for Civil Discourse/League of Women Voters Network

Do politicians fare better with voters when they embrace civility? Are extreme partisans more or less likely to value elected leaders who debate constructively? Join us on October 25 to hear the answers to these (and more) questions that came out of a nationwide study on political civility conducted by Stanford University’s Polarization and Social Change Lab. The study examined voters’ reactions to a group of Democratic and Republican Governors making a concerted effort to “disagree better.” The results will surprise you.
